Thank you, Lord.
I am so grateful for the ability to rock my fussy one year old at this early hour so she gets a little more sleep, even if that means I don’t.
Thank you for the strength that you are bound to give me to get through the day. Your blessings don’t always make sense to us, but I’m glad for this one in the moment.
Thank you for the blessings of motherhood, and the unique way that mothering little ones sanctifies me and draws me closer and closer to you.
I’m sorry for the moments that I act as if this is a burden; when my selfishness creeps in. Help me to react that way less; to see the blessings in the hard moments you provide.
Your mercies abound; help me to recognize them.
Help my baby to sleep well, even if it is destined to be in my arms until “wake up time.” Thank you for letting me be her momma.
In your Son’s holy name,
Amen.
