This wasn't the best week ever. But it wasn't a bad week either. There were definite hard moments. But there are so many things to be thankful for.

I was able to spend time in my Bible 4 out of the 5 days of this "work" week
God worked in our homeschool, allowing our Bible study to speak directly to the things we are currently struggling with
We learned a new Bible verse together
My husband got a new route at work in a much safer neighborhood
I managed to make it through a prenatal appointment with all three kids in tow without too much chaos
My cousin came to visit and helped me get some major furniture moving done
I was able to go grocery shopping and get all the things we need to have healthy meals at home
I was able to visit with my sister and let the 5 little cousins visit together and play
We are all healthy and relatively happy, at home together
This list is definitely not exhaustive. I'm sure I forgot a whole host of things I could have added to this. But I think reflecting on the week and coming up with some things to be thankful for is so important.
It's so EASY to say, "this week sucked because such and such happened." But I would rather combat that with thinking of all the good things that happened. Because, yes, some things did suck. But those moments were really not bigger than all the good.
I need to shift my focus to the good, so I am going to try and keep track a little better of all the good moments, and stop dwelling on the hard/bad/tough ones!
