Friday Reflections… on a Saturday

This week has been busier than most. I have tried to carve out the time to write and have failed. Parenting has been harder with Shawn working much longer hours at UPS during peak season and I’m quite frankly exhausted by the kids bedtime. But, there is always something to be grateful for.
We successfully completed another week of school, which means we’re one week closer to our Sabbath Break
The girls are generally being good helpers but we have been working on selflessness and gratefulness since we see to be lacking in that area
The baby has been sleeping generally ok, which means so have I.
Shawn is getting more hours than he knows what to do with which is great for our budget, and thankfully temporary so it keeps him generally motivated
I have found more kitchen recipes that fit our family well and help our budget
We survived another week of Peak Season
Bonus: Shawn had his one Peak Saturday off today so we went to see Christmas lights around town, and came home and had hot chocolate—a beloved family tradition!
It’s easy to skip the happy moments when you don’t stop and think of them. But I’m glad I stopped to reflect, even a day later than normal.
